*Dr.Alice Domar, researcher at Harvard Medical School, did a study with women who had been trying to get pregnant for a year or more. She put them on a program that included Yoga and exercise, 50% of those on the program became pregnant within a year as opposed to 20% in the control group who were not on the program that included Yoga and fitness.
*Yoga poses that can help with fertility are those that open the hips and increase blood flow to the pelvis, this also can help rebalance the hormones. Certain Yoga poses can also help to stimulate the ovaries. Yoga is a great way to help women reduce their stress levels and relax which can be key when trying to conceive.
*20% of those facing fertility issues are considered “idiopathic” meaning doctors are unable to diagnose the reason a woman is unable to get pregnant. Many feel Yoga has helped them relax, believe in their bodies and de-stress which has helped them overcome their fertility complications and become pregnant.

who regularly appears on the Oprah show and is the author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom said ~ “Teresa is a real pioneer. I consider her work to be the Obstetrics of the future, which involves connecting with your baby intuitively before it is born, working in partnership with the baby’s consciousness. A big part of the beauty of her work is that it empowers women, helping them to reinforce their trust in their own inner wisdom.”

Services
Nutrition Therapy
Couples focusing on fertility and pregnancy planning learn to nourish their bodies beforehand and discover high nutrient food options to boost up nutrient reserves before they conceive.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can be used as a treatment for fertility challenges. It has also been shown to improve the success rate of modern day fertility treatments. As a stand alone treatment acupuncture is most effective in treating functional issues such as irregular periods or ovulation rather than structural problems such as a blockage in the fallopian tubes. Acupuncture works by balancing the body’s energy flow (qi) which in turn regulates the bodies systems and allows them to function smoothly. Studies have shown acupuncture to increase blood flow to the uterus, reduce stress hormones that can interfere with ovulation, regulate menstruation and ovulation, and improve pregnancy rates in women undergoing IVF. In an American study, 51% of women receiving acupuncture with IVF became pregnant as opposed to 36% of women receiving IVF alone.
Massage
Maya Abdominal Massage – Misalignment of the uterus and pelvic congestion can contribute to numerous issues within a woman’s body; fertility issues, cramps, long/short menses, ovarian cysts, amenorrhea, and endometriosis/endometritis are just a few. This technique helps realign the uterus and alleviate pelvic congestion by externally massaging the abdomen.
Chiropractic
Recent studies indicate that chiropractic care can help women struggling with infertility. This is especially true for women diagnosed with “unexplained infertility”. The nerves that supply our reproductive organs are located in the lower portion of our back and sacrum. When biomechanical and structural stresses apply pressure to these nerves, they may no longer function at 100%. Interference with these nerve impulses can result in reduced function or over stimulation of the associated organs and tissues, resulting in symptoms. These symptoms can vary from pain, to spasm, to dysfunction of an organ or organ system. Many chiropractic patients have sought care for a low back or pelvic condition and found themselves pregnant! The average patient seeking care for infertility can expect to see positive changes in 3-4 months. This includes improvement in hormone levels, endometrial thickening, and normalization of luteal phases. Chiropractic care can be safely added to any existing fertility treatments.
Rolfing
Rolfing Structural Integration is a process of soft tissue manipulation designed to balance your body by releasing tension and strain. Rolfing moves beyond symptomatic relief, focusing on whole body alignment for sustainable change. Structural work is an opportunity to prepare yourself and your body for a comfortable and aligned pregnancy.
