Finding Calm in Back To School Times
Back to school can be both a fun and challenging time for any family. My oldest son started back to school last week and it was also his 7th birthday. We were all ready to get back into a routine; however, sad to see the days of summer come to an end. I found my 2 year old struggling the most: missing his brother, feeling rushed in the morning and not quite understanding what this whole "school" this was -- he was acting out.
I decided to practice what I preach. So we made time for a few yoga classes during the week. We went to one Toddler Yoga just him and I and, also a Family Yoga with everyone on Sunday. I have to say, these really were the two best hours of my week. He was calmer and more connected. We all were.
I feel so honored to be a part of this work I believe in so strongly. I hope you all are transitioning back to school smoothly and finding ways to stay connected in the process. We hope to see you for some yoga soon. Whether it is for yourself, for you and baby, you and toddler or the entire family!
