Certified Birth Doula (CAPPA), Trained Postpartum Doula (CAPPA)

I am a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula and CAPPA trained Postpartum Doula.  I also offer all my clients belly binding services after birth.  I have been in Doula work for three years, following my work as an elementary teacher in Colorado and Korea, and 15 years experience in taking care of infants and children.  I hold both a degree in Elementary Education and Performing Arts/West African Dance.  I believe my diverse background and experiences allow me to bring elements of teaching, compassion and movement into the care and education for my clients.

Being a Doula allows me to tap into my own gifts of compassion, empathy and grounded nature; something all families need not only through the process of birth, but through the immense life changes that come with bringing home a new life.  I have come to see this work as a sincere privilege; to support, guide, educate and help transition families though the challenges and beauty of pregnancy, birth and parenthood.  I think of this time as one of the most critical and profound in the human experience and believe all women need love and support throughout, as do their partners and babies they are welcoming into the world.  If I can help families feel more confidant, at ease and prepared for all that comes with a new little one, I believe this will create more stability and infrastructure for the years that follow this precious time

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?  South America is next on the list!
